![]() ![]() She lost not her breath as the king let her live by allowing her to touch the gold scepter as an escape from the death penalty and succeeded in her plan to save her people from destruction. Staying in the comfort zone in the palace will not shield her to escape from the devastating plan of the adversaries, so she fought and overcome the terrifying threat of death in reaching the king. Perishing did not shake the love in her heart to rescue and deliver her nation to the venomous fangs of death. Esther walks in the graveyard of the threat of death with courage sacrificing her life for her people. Esther face a double threat of death from the annihilation plan of the enemies of the Jews and from the violation of approaching the king without being called. The brave and fearless woman of God responds fearlessly against the terror and threat of fear and death. ![]() And if I perish, I perish.”ĭo we have the courage as Esther demonstrates? When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Can we respond fearlessly to any threat of fear as what the three worshipers of God? Do we value God more than our lives? The unstoppable worshipers will not be shaken but will respond fearlessly against any threat in their lives. Faithfulness in God will be revealed in times of threatening fear and death. Fearless response in faith and the presence of God will bring deliverance and victory to us. God gives us not the Spirit to make us slaves so that we will live in fear again ( Romans 8:15). Fear will have an entrance if there is doubt about God’s help and action in challenging circumstances. Our lives are already in the hands of God so we must trust the faithful caretaker of our lives. But if we hold on to our faithfulness to God we will respond fearlessly to any threat just like the courage of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Satan craves and desires for worship (Matthew 4:9), so he is using the threat of fear and death to divert our worship from God to him through idolatrous worship. As a believer and worshiper of God in doing his will, and by showing our constant loyalty to him, we will experience persecution, opposition, and threats coming to the world even from the seating authority used by the adversary. ![]()
